Teams of Four Room

Important changes affect the Teams of Four Room as follows:

1) To start a Teams Match

- Simply start a Match, TWO tables will be created, with you seated in your chosen seat at the 'A' table

2) All Matches will be 8 boards

3) Table Names change to

Table: 1A , Table: 1B
Table: 2A , Table: 2B
etc.

The Teams of Four Room allows teams of 4 to play head-to-head matches with fully automatic movement and scoring. Matches can be of 8 or 16 boards but, with 96 boards available in every daily deal, a member could play up to 12 x 8-board matches every 24 hours.

The Server will guide you through each match, tell you what is happening, where you will sit and take you there.

How does it work?

1) The Match sets of 2 tables are named as follows:

8Bds_1A and 8Bds_1B are the set of Table 1 Match tables (8 boards teams of 4)

16Bds_2A and 16Bds_2B are the set of Table 2 Match tables (16 boards teams of 4)

8Bds_3A and 8Bds_3B are the set of Table 3 Match tables (8 boards teams of 4)

16Bds_4A and 16Bds_4B are the set of Table 4 Match tables (16 boards teams of 4)

…and so on

2) To start a Match:

To start an 8-board teams match, one team sits at the table 8Bds_1A and the other teams sits at 8Bds_1B, for example. As soon as all the 8 players of both teams have joined their table, North and South are requested to press “Ready”, the server will remind you that you are committed to play 8 boards and announce to each one where he/she will be sitting each round as they come and swiftly take players to their allocated seats. For a 16-board match tables 16Bds_2A and 16Bds_2B are used.

3) The Match is over:

The server will announce “Last board played - This teams table is now finished”,  the tables are removed from the room when emptied. The results system will pick up the 2 tables 8Bds_1A 8Bds_1B and give the teams results which can be found the results section called 'Teams of Four'.
